The Best Disney Portable Charger Stations and Fuel Rod Disney locations
Don’t underestimate the importance of this list! It covers both Walt Disney World Parks and Disneyland. Batteries get super low super fast in a Disney park, and you will need your phone for almost everything you do!
Walt Disney World Parks
Walt Disney World is located just outside Orlando in Central Florida. It is made up of four different theme parks including:
- Magic Kingdom
- Epcot
- Hollywood Studios
- Animal Kingdom
Magic Kingdom:
Let’s start with the oldest and busiest of the four WDW parks- the Magic Kingdom! If you need to charge something at Magic Kingdom here is where to go (keep in mind some of these are just outlets, and will be indicated as such, so be sure to bring a cord, and a cube to plug it into to:
Tomorrowland
There are outlets close to Space Mountain, by the exit. Outside of the Tomorrowland restrooms, there are some outlets by the low wall Cosmic Ray’s (home of Good Ol Sunny Eclipse) has some close to the restroom area.
If you don’t mind sitting near trash Tomorrowland Terrace has a couple of outlets near the trash can.
Fantasyland
Storybook Circus This is an official charging station that Disney World lists on its website. So here you find both USB and AC charging options.
The Tangled Restrooms. By the way, these are the BEST bathrooms at Magic Kingdom! They ALSO have a whole big section of charging stations, located in the tree stumps! They have both plug and USB options, and you can sit on the tree stump while your kids do the Pascal (Rapunzel’s little chameleon friend) scavenger hunt! It really is the most fun out of all of the charging option locations! Near it’s a small world and Peter Pan’s flight there is a courtyard that has charging outlets.
Liberty Square
There is a yummy quick service called Columbia Harbour House. This is one of my favorite quick service locations for a fast and healthy bite to eat. They also have some scattered outlets located close to their tables- eat while you charge and have more park time! I recommend going upstairs and trying to get a table by the window that overlooks the passageway from Fantasyland to Liberty Square.
Epcot
World Celebration/World Nature/World Discovery
In this area, over at the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends, there are some outlets by the restrooms.
If you are a DVC (Disney Vacation Club) owner you can go to the DVC Lounge. It is located in the gift shop by Journey of Imagination. You may have to get on a waiting list. In this lounge, you can enjoy drinks and snacks (sometimes), plenty of charging stations, and awesome AC!
World Showcase
Some of the Pavilions have some outlets: Norway and Morocco have outlets inside.
This location gets pretty packed before the Fireworks so you likely won’t be able to access this anytime after 8pm, but La Cantina de San Angel has a couple of outlets. This is a quick service location located outside and on the World Showcase lagoon.
American Adventure, near the Hops and Barley beer concession, there are a few outlets. Outside of the Mens restroom there are also a couple of outlets.
Animal Kingdom
This park does not offer a ton of options for charging so make sure you think ahead!
There is a quick-service pizza restaurant called Pizzafari located in Discovery Island has a few outlets.
Some shops on Discovery Island have some outlets within them, and Disney Outfitters has one outside.
Hollywood Studios
Another park that does not have many choices for charging so come prepared!
Star Wars Launch Bay- you can find a few benches near the wall that have outlets in or by them in Star Wars Launch Bay. Luckily this area is never busy so you can likely sit and relax while you charge.
PizzeRizzo- this quick-service dining location has some outlets. It’s also not often very busy. FYI- this Pizza is not very good.
ABC Commissary- a quick service location that has some decent food options. It also has a few outlets within the restaurant.
Fuel Rod Disney Locations in the Disney World Resorts
Fuel Rods are portable battery chargers that are available at Disney Parks, Resorts, and even airports too! These fully charged, reusable chargers are dispensed via kiosks for $30 (but with the links in this post you can pre-purchase them at a discount). It is free to exchange them for a fully charged replacement while onsite at a U.S. Disney park or Disney resort. The original pack coms with all of the charging accessories you need for Apple or Android products. But remember to bring the charging cords with you as the replacements are just the charger, nothing else.
I always have one or two of these in my bag in case my longer lasting charger dies.

It’s always good to have a plan when you go on a Disney vacation, and this includes a plan for charging your most important accessory- your phone! Consider pre-purchasing a fuel rod to save money, then exchanging it for free at any of the fuel rod Disney locations listed above. You can also purchase Fuel Rods on-site, it’s just more expensive. Though they aren’t the longest lasting chargers there are plenty of locations to exchange them! I always make sure I bring a few fuel rods, as well as a more powerful portable phone charger and plenty of charging cords. Happy Charging!
