Disneyland Resort Hotels
If you prefer to stay within the Disneyland Resort for easy access to the theme parks, there are three hotels to choose from. Other benefits of staying in Disney hotels include early theme park entry to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, depending on the day.
Disneyland Hotel
The Disneyland Hotel is the original Disney hotel with a touch of nostalgia and all the Disney magic. Walt Disney himself had a hand in the opening of this hotel and his presence is felt throughout the pictures and details in this enchanting hotel.
The Disneyland hotel is located just outside the downtown Disney district and is very walkable to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
The hotel offers a variety of family-friendly suites that can cater to the needs of large families. They offer 1, 2, or 3-bedroom family suites, 1 or 2 bedroom junior suites, as well as standard rooms. Additionally, it is home to the famous Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and a character meal hosted by Goofy himself!
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel
For a luxurious experience in a rustic setting, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel is an excellent choice. Surrounded by lush scenery, this craftsman-style hotel offers standard rooms as well as spacious suites (at a big price tag).
The Grand Californian Hotels offers great food options including lounges, pool bars, and quick service and table service restaurants. It also is home to an awesome pool, hot tub, and even rooms that overlook California Adventure Theme Park.
This hotel has its own private entrance to Disney California Adventure Theme Park. You can get out of your room and be Soarin’ over California in less than 10 minutes! And it’s a quick walk to Disneyland Park as well.
Pixar Place Hotel (formerly Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel)
Pixar Place Hotel, formerly known as Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, creates a playful and fun environment for families. The hotel is filled with Pixar-themed decorations and offers a range of family-friendly suites. There are dining options including a table service restaurant, a quick cafe, and a “small bytes” location coming soon.
Enjoy the lively atmosphere while staying in a 1 or 2-bedroom suite, or even a Pixel Signature Series Suite!
None of the above Disney hotels offers free breakfast or complimentary parking. However, you do get the Disney touches along with the convenience of their proximity to the parks as well as the early entry benefit mentioned above.
The following hotels are located outside of the Disney Resort bubble but are all within walking distance to the Disneyland Theme Parks. You can save money on any of these hotels through booking.com!
Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance
If you’re looking for a hotel near Disneyland that offers spacious family suites within walking distance of the theme park, the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Hotel is another great option. This affordable (well, cheaper than Disney resort hotels) hotel provides comfortable accommodations, convenient amenities, and a prime location that allows you to easily walk to Disneyland Park. They offer one or two bedroom suites, and have bunk beds suites also.
Enjoy a range of convenient amenities during your stay, including free Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool and hot tub, a convenience store, a restaurant, and a fitness center. And the outdoor pool could actually be considered a mini Water Park with awesome water slides!
The hotel is within walking distance to Disneyland meaning you can avoid the hassle of parking and transportation. However, if you are parking your car be prepared to pay $35 per day for parking.
Breakfast isn’t free either. Keep reading and we will let you know which family suites hotels near Disneyland offer free parking and/or free breakfast, and be sure to check out my best Disneyland Good Neighbors hotel blog to see more options!
Staybridge Suites Anaheim
Staybridge Suites Anaheim is an excellent choice for families planning an extended stay near Disneyland. This all-suite hotel offers spacious accommodations with full kitchens, perfect for larger families who prefer the convenience and cost savings of cooking meals. Enjoy a home-like environment with a separate living area, providing enough space for everyone to relax and unwind.
One of the highlights of Staybridge Suites Anaheim is the complimentary breakfast. Start your day off right with a full breakfast, ensuring everyone in your family gets a satisfying meal before tackling Disneyland!
After a long day at the theme park, take a dip in the outdoor pool to cool off and relax. The outdoor pool area also features lounge chairs and a hot tub, which is a perk after a long day at the parks.
In addition to the in-room kitchenettes, Staybridge Suites Anaheim provides a barbecue area, allowing you to grill up your favorite meals if you enjoy doing that sort of thing on vacation.
Staybridge Suites Anaheim is located within walking distance to Disneyland also. But it’s a 20-minute walk so you may prefer not to walk. Take advantage of the hotel’s shuttle service to avoid the hassle of parking and transportation. But if you do want to park- free parking is included!
Another bonus- free appetizers and drinks at their Social Hour hosted from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Anaheim Islander Inn
For families looking for a budget-friendly option near Disneyland, the Anaheim Islander Inn is an excellent choice. This hotel offers comfortable family accommodations, a complimentary breakfast, and a heated outdoor pool.
The Anaheim Islander Inn provides spacious and affordable rooms, perfect for families seeking value without compromising on comfort. The two bedroom suites feature 2 queen beds and bunk beds and is almost 400 square feet!
Anaheim Islander Inn also offers a complimentary breakfast. Their free breakfast is continental though, so don’t expect a full breakfast, but it’s fuel to keep you going for a long day at the parks.
This hotel also offers access to an airport shuttle service, Karmel, providing nonstop service from local airports. They also are on the Anaheim ART shuttle line, $6 for adults and $3 for kids to hop on and ride to Disneyland. It’s a 2 mile walk if you prefer to get more steps in.
With its budget-friendly rates, comfortable accommodations, complimentary breakfast, and outdoor pool, the Anaheim Islander Inn offers everything families need for an enjoyable and affordable stay near Disneyland. They also offer cast member, Magic Key holder, and AARP, AAA, and military discounts! You can’t beat the rates here, even though it’s a bit of a hike from Disneyland compared to other area Disneyland hotels.
Hyatt House
Hyatt House is a suite hotel located near Disneyland, offering spacious and comfortable rooms for families. Our family of 5 often stays at Hyatt House and Hyatt Place Hotels because their rooms can accommodate all of us comfortably. We have never had a bad experience at a Hyatt hotel, and this includes our stays at their Disneyland area hotel. Hyatt House offers a variety of suites. Some are designed with separate living areas, fully equipped kitchens, and cozy bedrooms, making it perfect for larger families. Others are one bedroom suites, suites with bunk beds, or studio suites with kitchens.
This hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast served every morning, and this one is a full hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, waffles, and French toast too! I also love the steel-cut oats, fruit, and yogurt.
Conveniently located near Disneyland, Hyatt House offers easy access to the theme parks. Whether you’re traveling with young children or teenagers, the hotel’s proximity to Disneyland allows you to maximize your time in the park. After a fun-filled day at the park, it’s great to have a hotel so close to the parks- your feet will be tired!
Residence Inn
Residence Inn is an extended-stay hotel that offers family-friendly suites near Disneyland. With spacious accommodations and all-suites rooms with kitchens, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor pool, and a pets-allowed policy, this hotel is perfect for families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
There are three Residence Inn locations in Anahiem, with two of them being close to Disneyland. The two Disneyland area hotels are the Residence Inn Anaheim convention center resort location and the Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Garden Grove area location. Residence Inn Anaheim Convention Center is about a 12-minute walk to Disneyland Park, while the Garden Grove location is a 10-minute to Disneyland Park.
Pro Tip: You can sometimes find better deals at the Garden Grove location so if you are looking to save some money check there first!
The Anaheim Convention Center location offers some Pixar inspired Kids Suites, City View Suites, Suites with king bed offerings, and more. The sister location, Garden Grove, also offers spacious accommodations and even some large, oversized family suites. Additionally, they have kids suites too with twin trundle-type beds instead of bunk beds.
Remember to factor into your budget the $28-$30 parking fee if you are planning to drive your own car. The pet policy is up to 2 pets 50 pounds or less for a non-refundable $150 pet fee per stay.
Clementine Hotel & Suites Anaheim
Clementine Hotel & Suites Anaheim offers condo-style suites with kitchenettes, providing families with the conveniences of home. The kitchenettes are well-appointed with essential appliances and utensils, making it easy to whip up a quick breakfast or prepare a full family dinner. Our extended family of 9 stayed there and had plenty of room and necessities to cook and serve a family dinner.
In addition to the convenient kitchenettes, Clementine Hotel & Suites Anaheim also offers a complimentary full hot breakfast for all guests. Parking is included in their resort fee so technically it’s free but you do pay for it inside of this fee. However, many of the Disneyland area hotels have resort fees of varying amounts as the city of Anaheim collects extra taxes from these hotels. Be sure to inquire about the resort fee at the hotel you choose and include it in your Disney budget.
Also included in the resort fee is the outdoor pool, access to the BBQ and fire pit, as well as a sports court and outdoor playground.
Clementine Hotel & Suites Anaheim it definitely fits the bill of family-friendly accommodations and amenities. A stay here can make your Disneyland vacation feel like you are truly at a resort.
