Going on a Disney vacation is exciting but exhausting and if you’re anything like me, you appreciate a creative cocktail and place to rest your feet in the middle of the craziness! I go on Disney trips regularly and can say that, surprisingly, the Disney World bars at both the parks and the resorts are awesome and often as well-themed as the parks themselves! I am sharing the 9 Best Disney World Bars and Lounges, in my opinion, to take a load off and enjoy a beverage.
You are going to learn what the best Disney World bars in all four Disney parks and the surrounding Disney Resorts.
After checking out this list you will know what Disney World bars offer which types of specialty drinks, where they are located, and what kind of magical theming you can expect to be dazzled with.
This post is all about the Best Disney World Bars.
9 Best Disney World Bars
Key Takeaways
- Disney World Bars are many and have varied themes! Some of the Best Disney World bars and lounges inside the Disney World parks include Nomad Lounge, Oga’s Cantina, and Baseline Tap House.
- Disney World Bars located at the Disney Resorts include Enchanted Rose, Topolino’s Terrace, Abracadabar, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, and Jock Linsday’s Hangar Bar (*located at Disney Springs).
1. Nomad Lounge
Going to Nomad Lounge is a great escape from the heat at Animal Kingdom (often known as the hottest Disney park). The vibe inside is a rustic hangout inspired by outdoor markets from around the world. Inside you’ll also find colorful banners, intricate woodwork, and cultural artifacts, Nomad Lounge brings together flavors and design elements from Africa, Asia, and South America into one cohesive space.
The outside seating at Nomad Lounge is my favorite! You truly feel like you are relaxing on a fancy yet comfortable patio. There are big ceiling fans to cool you off, and lots of lush greenery surrounding you!
Nomad Lounge is centrally located on Discovery Island within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The lounge is conveniently situated right next to Tiffins Restaurant and is a short walk from Pandora – The World of Avatar. It sits right on the river where the character flotillas go by which is awesome- as the characters are adorable and it’s so fun for both kids and adults.
Overall, Nomad Lounge’s prime location coupled with its inviting decor makes it a popular oasis for guests seeking crafty libations and small bites while taking a break from the action of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Nomad Lounge Cocktail options include:
- Hightower Rocks
- Tempting Tigress
- Hibiscus Henna
- And MANY more!
In addition to cocktails, Nomad Lounge serves an array of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic mocktails. Young adventurers can order the refreshing Icy Expedition mocktail. For the 21+ crowd, regional and international beers from Africa, Asia, and South America provide the perfect complement to the lounge’s global flavors.
Nomad Lounge Small Plates include:
- charcuterie board piled high with cured meats, artisanal cheeses, nuts, and fruit
- Berber-spiced beef skewer with chimichurri sauce or the pork ribs with Peri Peri sauce
- Churros (these are gluten free churros and they are delicious)
- Impossible plant-based sliders with spicy Asian slaw
- shrimp tacos with lime crema
2. Oga’s Cantina
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Oga’s Cantina transports visitors to the Star Wars universe with intergalactic drinks and a DJ (the famous DJ Rex) spinning space-age tunes.
Patrons of this lively lounge can sip Jedi Mind Tricks, Fuzzy Tauntauns, and other cosmic potions. Oga’s Cantina, just like Nomad Lounge, is one of the more crowded Disney World bars so pack your patience and try to get a reservation early. You can do this through the My Disney Experience app up to 60 days before your trip. It’s also possible to get in the same day by joining the walk up waitlist (like you can at Nomad Lounge) or checking the My Disney Experience app to see if any reservations open up.
All Disney World bars are kid-friendly and Oga’s Cantina is no exception. Kids can enjoy mocktails or try the Blue Bantha, Galaxy’s Edge famous blue milk served with a Vanilla Sugar Cookie on top!
3. Baseline Tap House
Baseline Tap House, also located in Hollywood Studios, is located right next to the Muppets Area over on Grand Avenue. This part of Hollywood Studios is often a bit quieter than Galaxy’s Edge so this Disney World bar offers a little bit more of an escape from the crowds. However, over the years this place and Nomad Lounge have become more and more popular so don’t expect to always walk right in.
Baseline Tap House offers, you guessed it, a big variety of beers on tap.
You can also enjoy:
- Hard Cider on tap
- Cocktails on tap
- Mocktails
- Wine on tap
- Various spirits
- Small plates including a big as-your-head Bavarian pretzel, Cheese and Charcuterie Board, Coffee-rubbed beef puff, or Spiced almonds
Just like many Disney World bars, there’s no option to mobile order at Baseline Tap House so if there is a line you will have to wait to place your order, and then find a table. This is different from Nomad Lounge and Oga’s Cantina where you will be walked to your table and a server will wait on you. But Baseline Tap House has a lovely outdoor seating area where you can enjoy people-watching yet stay out of the crowd!
Disney World Bars and Lounges at the Disney World resorts
4. Enchanted Rose
Continuing on our list of the Best Disney World Bars, we step over to the Disney World Resort Hotels. One of my very favorite places to unwind in Disney World is the Enchanted Rose at the Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa. This lovely lounge is themed after Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
The first thing you notice is the gorgeous bar, with its shades of gold and blue and marble bar top it is pure elegance! The Enchanted Rose lounge also features a formal library, whimsical “garden”, and outdoor seating that overlooks the grounds of the lovely Grand Floridian Hotel.
At the Enchanted Rose, you can enjoy:
- Snacks like house-made beef jerky, Olives, or Mixed Nuts
- Small plates like an artisanal cheese plate, charcuterie board, house-made truffle fries (these are delicious, though I know they don’t quite match the elegant vibe), seasonal flatbread, hummus plate or the smoked trout and crab dip
- Cocktails are many but include the Lavender Fog, Garden Daisy, or Floral Bitter Beauty
- They even have “Grand” Cocktails (read: expensive and fancy) or Featured martinis.
- Also on the menu are beer, wine, champagne and hard ciders
- For the non-drinkers, they have a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and spritzers/coolers
A couple of things about this place- the drinks are VERY expensive, even by Disney World standards. It’s also pretty boring for kids, so don’t expect the kids to enjoy it as much as you might.
But, if you are traveling without kids, or are able to sneak away for a bit, the Enchanted Rose is a classy escape from the grind of the Disney parks.
5. Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace Lounge at Disney’s Riviera Resort provides scenic views of nighttime fireworks while patrons sip Italian wines and spritzes. The elegant rooftop bar celebrates Disney’s European art heritage, as does the rest of Disney’s Riviera Resort.
The indoor bar and lounge area at Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is available to Guests on a first-come, first-served basis. They offer seating along the bar, high-top seating, a few booths, and a community table. You can also grab a drink and head out to the actual Terrace, but if you are planning on watching the Epcot fireworks get there early! Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes (or more) before fireworks start.
To be sure you have a good spot (and a great meal) it’s best to make a dining reservation as soon as you can before your trip as this is a popular spot.
The dinner menu features delicious French and Italian cuisine. The restaurant is set in modern Riviera elegance and they do have a dress code per the Disney website, but it basically states to “dress accordingly” and that swimwear is not allowed.
7. Abracadabar
Abracadabar is a hidden gem located right next to one of my favorite Disney resorts, the Boardwalk. This little hideaway lounge is themed after a Magicians den and it is just so cool! There are so many “magical” touches that you really have to see it to truly appreciate it.
Abracadabar offers outdoor seating (a few tables) but the magic is really inside, though it is quite dark in there.
At this Disney World bar, you can enjoy:
- Bar snacks like truffle fries, Margherita pizza, and Salumi
- Handcrafted Cocktails with names like The Conjurita, Magic Mirror, and Parlor Trick
- Featured cocktails like the Sidecar or Sazarac (they offer more varieties and a full bar)
- Wines, Champagne, and draft/bottled beers
8. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto
If you really want that on an island vacation vibe while you are at Walt Disney World then head over to Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. Much like its big brother, the OG, Trader Sam’s at Disneyland, this bar offers island drinks that can have whacky consequences!
You will also notice your bar stool might shrink a bit but don’t worry, it’s not all in your head.
This awesome Polynesian-themed tiki bar offers many incredible cocktails including:
- The Uh-oa, recommended for two guests, featuring dark rum blended with orange, guava, grapefruit, and pineapple juice, as well as hints of lime juice and cinnamon.
- The Polynesian Pearl, with RumChata Cream Liqueur, Grand Marnier, and Cinnamon with Tropical Juices. And guess what? The Pearl is yours to keep!
- The HippopotoMai-Tai featuring Plantation Original Dark Rum, Bacardi Superior Rum, Bols Orange Curaçao, Orgeat (Almond), Organic Agave Nectar, and fresh Lime Juice. If you want it with the souvenir mug it’ll cost you $28.50.
- There are many more cool cocktails to enjoy, even one served in a real pineapple!
Trader Sam’s also offers a variety of appetizers from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Be aware that this Disney World bar is kid-friendly until the magic hour of 8 p.m. when it turns into a 21+ lounge.
Another important tip is that Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is extremely popular so get there early if you want to get in when they open at 3 p.m.. If you do arrive later you may need to wait, but if the weather is nice you can have a pleasant wait on the terrace, and enjoy the same drink and snack menu.
9. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
There are so many great places to eat and drink at Disney Springs, the Walt Disney World shopping, dining, and entertainment district, that it’s hard to pick a favorite.
But my vote for theming and fun is Jocky Lindseys’s.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs is known for aviation-themed cocktails and decor. Named after the pilot from Raiders of the Lost Ark, this lounge offers creative drinks like Reggie’s Revenge and shareable snacks in a 1930’s-era hangar setting.
You can sit indoors and enjoy the Indiana Jones and adventure-inspired theming OR you can sit at a table overlooking the water. Another fun option is to sit in the attached boat named after Reggie the Snake (and yes, the Reggie’s Revenge is also named after this famous serpent).
Jock Lindsey’s also offers light bites, flatbread pizzas and tacos, as well as fun signature cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.
Honorable Mention
I literally crave the margaritas at the La Choza de Margarita stand in Epcot Mexico’s Pavilion. They are perfection on a burning hot Epcot day!
From old Hollywood glamour to kitschy tiki fun, the bars at Disney’s deluxe resorts provide detail-oriented theming and extensive drink menus. Patrons can escape the parks’ crowds while enjoying creative cocktails and upscale ambiance. For vacationers seeking a refined bar experience, it’s worth venturing beyond the theme parks to these imaginatively designed lounges at the deluxe resorts.
