11 Best Off Site Disney World Hotels in 2024
Planning a trip to Disney World in 2024? You might be looking at off-site places to stay. Luckily, near the theme park, there are lots of great options. They offer comfort and convenience, some of which are a good value. Whether you want luxury or family-friendly, there are plenty of options.
Keep in mind you will be paying resort fees at all of these hotels but I’ll share with you what they are and if they are included in the pricing quoted here.
This guide looks at the top 11 off-site Disney World hotels for 2024. We picked them because of their great facilities and locations and because of how happy guests are with their stay. We know some people prefer staying off Disney property for various reasons, including value and amenities, or they may prefer a chain of hotels they have points for or are familiar with.
Here are some incredible options our family and friends have voted for, and we think you will love them, too!
Best of The Best Offe Site Disney World Hotels:
- Closest off site Disney World Hotel: Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, Swan, and Dolphin Resorts
- Most Luxurious off site Disney World Hotel: Four Seasons Resort Orlando
- Most Budget Friendly off site Disney World Hotel: It’s a close tie between the TownePlace Suites and the Springhill Suites, which are basically part of the same complex and share amenities
- Best Disney Springs area off site Disney World Hotel: My favorite best all around Disney Springs Area off-site hotel is the Signia
- Best Themed Off site Disney Hotel: Not including the Swan, Swan Reserve, and Dolphin, my favorite for theming is Margaritaville. The Swan and Dolphin are the best of these for Disney-theming, but Margaritaville immerses you in the island vibe fully and completely!
Disney Swan Reserve, Disney Swan Hotel, Disney Dolphin Hotel
The Disney Swan Reserve, Disney Swan Hotel, and Disney Dolphin Hotel belong to the Marriott Bonvoy group. They are a short walk to Disney’s Epcot theme park and close to Hollywood Studios (just a short boat ride within walking distance).
Calling them an “off-site” Disney hotel might be cheating, as they are all technically on Disney property. But they are not owned by Disney, and you can use your Marriott Bonvoy rewards points to stay here (they are a high point value, though). They have the same perks as Disney hotels and can be booked as part of a vacation package. If you would like help booking your vacation package at no additional cost, send me a message here- I would love to help!
These three hotels are all in the same area. They have all of the amenities of Disney’s Deluxe-level on-site hotels but are a step down in price, as they usually cost the same as the moderate-level Disney World Resort Hotels.
Disney Resort Hotel Categories
Just in case you aren’t aware of how Disney rates its hotels, they have Deluxe, Moderate, and Value resorts. Deluxe resorts are the most expensive and closest to the parks, moderate resorts are a bit less expensive and a bit further out but still highly themed, and value resorts are the most budget-friendly and still highly themed.
They all offer quick-service restaurants, with the Value Resorts having food court-type quick-service options. The moderate and deluxe Disney resorts have sit-down restaurants, with the Deluxe offering fine dining options. They all have free theme park transportation, outdoor pools, pool bars, and various Disney activities like movies on the lawn, poolside activities, and various themed experiences.
Disney Swan Reserve Hotel
The Disney Swan Reserve is the newest but smallest of these three hotels. It has 349 guest rooms, 151 of which are suites, and the rest are standard rooms. It is the most modern of the three resorts in its furnishings and number of outlets, but is just a little bit farther away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
The Swan Reserve features a grab and go breakfast and coffee shop called Grounds, as well as a full-service table Mediterranean table-service restaurant called Amare.
Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotel
The Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotel are basically different sides of the same hotel. There are many places to eat at these hotels, from casual to fancy. Some standout restaurants on the Swan side are Todd English’s Bluezoo and Il Mulino New York Trattoria. The Swan and Swan Reserve are a bit more expensive than the Dolphin and offer queen sized beds in their standard rooms vs the Dolphins Double beds.
The Disney Dolphin Hotel, as does the Swan, has a great full-service sit down breakfast option hosted at the Mediterranian Market. They also have a new grab and go breakfast, coffee shop type restaurant called Fuel.
All three of these hotels offer free Disney transportation. You can take a bus to all of the theme parks or a friendship boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Staying at these hotels also means access to a fitness center, swimming pools, and fun activities.
Another perk is you can participate in Disney Theme Parks Early Entry mornings. This gets you into any of the four Disney theme parks 30 minutes early. You don’t however the Disney Deluxe perk of Extended Evening hours which gives you access to either Epcot or Magic Kingdom on certain nights for 2 hours after the park closes.
Let’s review the average price for these three. Keep in mind that you will also need to pay a resort fee (currently set at a whopping $45) and a parking fee if you bring your own vehicle (currently at $36 per day). The resort fee includes a movie and smores on the beach, a Swan boat rental, in-room Wi-Fi, and fitness instructor-led classes daily. Loyalty members (this is a free program) get a Wi-Fi upgrade and access to the spa relaxation area.

It’s a perfect spot for families, friends, or even business trips. The Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace offers convenience, comfort, and great value. It’s a wonderful place to stay when you’re visiting Disney World, particularly if you like visiting Disney Springs and lounging by a luxurious pool!
Pricing
On the same weekend in June as quoted above the price starts at $213 for a king room with a sofa and goes all the way up to $682 for the Presidential Suite. They have a variety of rooms and suites, some with views of Disney Springs. This price includes the mandatory $39 resort fee.
Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is a high-end hotel close to Disney World, with an even higher-end adjoining hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. This hotel offers a variety of activities- anything from the Junior Chef Experience to the Mermaid Academy to Dive-in Movies! You can also enjoy select activities at the Waldorf Astoria.
It makes getting to the parks easy and offers lots of amenities.
Between the Signia and the neighboring Waldorf Astoria, there are three signature restaurants and nine casual dining eateries or lounges. The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is another awesome off-site hotel close to Disney World that offers luxury and a romantic setting (but that luxury comes with a high price tag, as does the Four Seasons; more info on the below).
Another major draw of this hotel is its amazing pool area. It includes a lagoon-style zero-entry pool, a lazy river, and a waterslide and was rated #1 on Trip Advisor’s Top Pools!
The Signia offers a continuous motor coach shuttle to and from the four Disney theme parks so getting to the magic is easy and convenient. You can buy theme park tickets through the concierge in the lobby, and it’s, you guessed it, part of the Early Entry program, too.
For family trips or romantic escapes, this hotel is ideal!
Pricing
Rates for the same first weekend in June start at $230 and go up to $678 to $793 for the fancy suites. These prices include the mandatory $50 resort fee.
Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista
The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is also close to Disney World and the Disney Springs area. Big rooms with comfy beds that help you chill out after your theme park adventures.
The hotel’s pool, with water slides, a playground, and an elevated hot tub, is popular with families. It also has a poolside restaurant, a basketball and sand volleyball court, a game room, and a fitness center.
Staying here also means easy visits to the Disney parks. The hotel gives a free shuttle ride to and from the parks and allows you and your group Early Theme Park Entry.
Pricing
The Wyndham hotel rates range for early June range from $136 (or $106 for Wyndham Rewards Members, a free loyalty program you can join at check-in) up to $156. You must add to this a $34 resort fee, and if you bring a car there is a $22 parking fee.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress X
If you want a luxurious retreat near Disney World, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is perfect. It’s just a short distance from the magic. This elegant hotel provides upscale rooms and plenty of amenities.
The rooms at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress are quite roomy and pretty. They are all approximately 360 square feet- which is almost as big as my first studio apartment!
In addition to the awesome pools available (do you see a theme here?), the Hyatt Grand Cypress also offers a lake with recreational water sports and boating, a jogging trail, and poolside cabanas.
If you have a golfer in your group, the Grand Cypress Golf Course is located nearby at the Evermore Resort. You can book a free shuttle to the course. The resort also offers on-site tennis courts, a fitness center, and a spa!
The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress pool area has water slides, a lazy river, and a lagoon-style pool with lots of seating. They offer outdoor Disney and kid-friendly movies every night and have a free shuttle to the Magic Kingdom (to the Ticket and Transportation Center, where all shuttles drop you off), Disney Springs, or Universal Orlando.
This hotel is about a 10- 15-minute drive from the Magic Kingdom.
There are various dining options here that cater to all tastes. You can enjoy fine dining by the lake or a more relaxed meal, and you can even mobile order your food just like at the theme parks!
Of note, this is the only hotel on our list that is not on the official Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel list (see the end of this post for a link to a complete list of Good Neighbor Hotels). So, if you want to use Early Entry to get into the parks 30 minutes early, don’t book this hotel.
But if the amenities and activities are something you would enjoy, this is a great place to have a resort day or a great place to stay if you are going to both Disney World and Universal Orlando.
Pricing
For the first weekend in June of 2024, rates start at $226 and go up to $253 for a room with a pool view. This rate includes the mandatory $49 resort fees. The self-parking fee is $30 per night.
Four Seasons Resort Orlando
The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is a top-notch luxury hotel that is super close to Walt Disney World and technically on property like the Swan and Dolphin, but in a different area of Walt Disney World. The Four Seasons is located in the same area as Disney’s exclusive housing community, Golden Oaks.
The hotel’s rooms and suite and are large, and elegantly decorated, as you would expect for the prices and reputation of this hotel brand. Every room is 500 square feet (so larger than my first apartment) and the suites are 825- 3,300 square feet. Unless, of course, you want to do the top floor buy-out ultimate suite experience (in which case please take me with you) that is 18,040 square feet!
Another big draw is the amazing food. You can find everything from fancy meals to laid-back bites. Chefs create tasty dishes from around the world and you can even book your own private concierge chef. They have 6 Restaurants and Bars on site including Capa, a Contemporary Spanish Steakhouse (there’s also a fabulous Capa bar and lounge), Ravello offering amazing Italian cuisine for breakfast and dinner, PB&G a lakeside pool bar and grill, Plancha a Latin American clubhouse style restaurant, Lickety Split a gelato and pastry cafe, the classic and beautiful lobby bar.
If you go to their site and search services and amenities they have a note that says they can arrange virtually anything! They offer a complimentary kids cam for ages 4-12, and resort activities from swim time with the family to the Kids for All Seasons program and Dive-in Movies. The Four Seasons is so close to Disney World that you can have an amazing fireworks view every night from the pool!
They have luxury boutiques, a spa on-site, and yoga and custom personal training sessions at their fitness center.
There is a Disney World planning center in the lobby and complimentary transportation to the Disney theme parks. They are, to no surprise, part of the Early Theme Park entry program. This resort also offers a twice-weekly character breakfast, which is delicious and adorable and features appearances from some of the classic favorite characters: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Donald Duck.
The golf course is also fabulous, and is a certified Autobon Sanctuary, surrounded by Live Oak Trees and 16 acres of land. A tennis court and tennis lessons are also a perk of staying here.
Pricing
The cheapest room at the Four Seasons the first weekend in June will set you back $1,465 and the suites can cost as much as $7,690 per night (or more, the highest price suites don’t have a price listed).
Margaritaville
Being a Parrothead myself (RIP Jimmy, we miss you) this is one of my favorite places to stay in Orlando. Though it’s a bit further out than some of the others, it’s still part of the Disney Good Neighbor hotel list so you can get in for Early Entry.
This resort is styled with an island vibe and has those Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville touches you would expect. It is on the same property as homes and vacation cottages and offers 256 Guest rooms and suites.
There are three pools, a hot tub, pool bars, and a fish house. It also has a fitness center, spa, and another bar and grill, the Salty Rim. If you want to upgrade to a vacation cottage, you will enjoy a full kitchen, 1-8 bedrooms, a living area, and spa-style bathrooms.
As you would expect at Margaritaville, this resort also features live music and entertainment!
Pricing
There is a 2 night minimum for the cottages but the rates are as low as $194 per night, excluding taxes and fees. These rooms book up quick so definitely plan ahead as the most affordable rooms are already booked for the first weekend in June. The hotel rooms are large and vary from $230 for the standard (but a whopping 475 square feet) to over $311 for the suite options. This price is also excluding taxes and fees. Each room comes with 2 complimentary cocktails on check in. Among the standard tourist room tax for all rooms in Orlando, they will add on a $45 resort fee.
Holiday Inn Orlando
The Holiday Inn Orlando is perfect for families and very affordable. It’s close to Disney World, about a 10-15-minute drive, depending on which park you are going to, and is about an 8-minute walk to Disney Springs.
Kids under 11 get free with a paying adult at Palm Breezes Restaurant, which features breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. Palm Breezes has a full bar, and there’s also a grab-and-go area- perfect for a quick drink or snack while on your way to the park. Oh, and included in your resort fee of $39, you get:
- Hourly transportation to all four Disney theme parks
- 2 welcome drinks upon arrival valid for soda, juice, well cocktail, house wine, or beer
- Coffee in the lobby from 6 – 11:30 AM
- Afternoon cookies and lemonade from 4 PM – 6 PM at the bar
- 2 bottles of water per day
They also have a zero-entry heated (not that you often need that in Florida) pool with a hot tub and activities like cornhole and ping pong, as well as a fitness center. The Holiday Inn Orlando is a Disney Good Neighbor hotel, so you can get the Early Theme Park Entry offer if you stay here. They also offer a Disney passholder discount of 15% off their lowest rate!
Pricing
Standard room rates for the first weekend in June start at $130 (excluding the $39 resort fee) and there is a $23 per day parking fee.
Towne Place Suites Orlando
The Towne Place Suites Orlando is another nearby hotel near Disney World. It offers comfy rooms with kitchenettes. This can come in very handy, as you can bring food with you to all Disney parks, saving you money and time. The only exceptions are glass, knives, and ice.
Town Place Suites Orlando is a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, so you can take advantage of the Early Entry to the theme parks here as well.
You also get a complimentary ride to the parks via their shuttle.
Town Place offers a variety of special “package rates,” and the lowest rates are reserved for pass holders and/or Florida/Georgia residents. Other offerings include the Discover Orlando Parking Package which features:
- Buffet breakfast daily
- WiFi
- 20 percent food and beverage coupon daily, based upon availability
- self-parking
- late check-out 1 pm
This hotel also features a nice-sized heated pool with comfy poolside loungers and couches and a nice poolside bar and lounge.
Pricing
The above Discover Orlando Parking Package is available starting at $124 per night, and the Passholder or Florida/Georiga resident rooms start at $109 per night for the studio 2 queen rooms.
They also have family suites that include the breakfast buffet and a $25 food and beverage credit for $189 per night! The resort fee is included in this price.
Spring Hill Suites Orlando
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista is another great affordable option. SpringHill suites in the Marriott Village and the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista are located within the same complex known as the Marriott Village, but they are separate hotels.
While they share some amenities, such as the outdoor pool area and the Marketplace for snacks and sundries, they are distinct properties with their own accommodations and facilities. SpringHill Suites has a fun playground that my kids loved and offers breakfast included in the price of your stay.
This hotel shares the same complimentary shuttle as the TownePlace suites listed above and is also a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel offering Eary Theme Park Entry every day.
Pricing
Studios with 2 double beds and a sofa bed start at $117 per night (this is a great deal for how many people they can sleep), and a small resort fee is included in this price.
Double Tree Suites by Hilton
The Double Tree Suites by Hilton is perfect for those wanting lots of room as it is an all suites hotel. It’s located near Disney World and super close to Disney Springs.
This hotel is also a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, and includes the perk of Early Theme Park Entry, as well as free shuttle transportation to and from Walt Disney World.
It’s an older hotel but the rooms have been updated and are contemporary and comfortable. The mandatory daily resort fee includes: Guest internet access; DVD Now rentals; 2 bottled waters daily; Kids Eat Free program- With each adult entree purchased, one child (12 years and under)is eligible to eat free from the kids menu; Disney shuttle; lobby coffee 6:30 am-11:00 am,
One huge benefit that sets this hotel apart from the others on this list is that they allow pets. For a $75 fee you can bring up to 2 cats and/or dogs, not bigger than 75 pounds.
Pricing
For the same weekend in June of 2024 the rates start at $126 (which includes the $23 resort fee) for the 1 queen bed suite, and go up to to $313 for the 1 King, 1 bedroom patio suite with sofa bed. The parking fee is $25 per day.
Disney Good Neighbor Hotels
To review, Disney Good Neighbor Hotels are some of the best off site Disney World hotels and include certain Disney perks as we discussed above.
Staying at these hotels comes with the perk of early entry to Walt Disney World parks. This means guests can enter the parks 30 minutes before they open to the public.
Though this seems like a very short period of time, you can really get a lot done in this time- sometimes, 2 attractions that will have very high waits later in the day. It also helps that Disney Genie Plus isn’t up and going during Early Entry so even if you see a fine it will move quickly!
Opting for Disney Good Neighbor Hotels offers a balance. You can stay off-site with its affordability, plus the special benefit of entering the parks early.
Disney Springs Area Hotel
The Disney Springs Area Hotels are close to Disney Springs, an awesome restaurant, entertainment, and shopping district located on Walt Disney World Property but not part of the Disney Theme Parks. This area is a great option for those wanting to stay near Disney World but off-site. With easy access to lots of shopping, dining, and fun, it’s an ideal location for an off-site Disney World hotel.
The Wrap Up
If you are heading to Walt Disney World in 2024,or beyond, consider checking out this guide before you make your plans. There are so many great off site options- from sheer affordability to ultimate luxury, there’s something here for everyone!
